Our organic cotton GOTS certified "Plain Shopping Bag" was featured in commons&sense ISSUE61 (autumn&winter 2021-2022).
commons&sense is a fashion magazine published twice a year.
The theme of this issue is "NORTHERN."
Now that the word "sustainable" is thrown around like a buzzword, it is not something we can only see if we take a step further, rather than just superficially empathize with it. It is the northern country, where daily life repeats itself while facing nature sincerely. There is a lot to learn from the lifestyle, people, and culture there.
What is GOTS certification?
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) was developed by leading international standards organizations to lay down global rules to ensure that textiles are truly organic, from harvesting, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, to labelling that gives consumers a trustworthy assurance.
Conventional cotton is produced using a lot of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in order to be mass-produced efficiently. On the other hand, organic cotton is grown using only organic fertilizers, which improves water quality and soil health and contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
You can use it with peace of mind as it gently wraps food in pesticide-free materials that have no effect on the body.
You can purchase it at bookstores or online stores.
