Description

✔️ Ultra-fine mesh structure that traps microplastics ✔️ Does not damage clothing and reduces fiber debris ✔️ YKK zipper for smooth opening and closing ✔️ Comes with a hanging cord for easy drying

Point 1: Ultra-fine mesh structure that traps microplastics

The mana. laundry net can capture even tiny fiber debris that regular laundry nets can't. The ultra-fine mesh effectively blocks microplastic fibers that flow out of the drain and into the ocean.

Point 2: Does not damage clothing and reduces fiber debris

Washing clothes in a laundry net prevents them from rubbing against each other or getting tangled. This reduces pilling and fraying, extending the life of your clothes and also reduces the amount of lint generated during the wash.

Point 3: Easy to use and stylish design

Available in three sizes, S, M, and L, you can choose the size that best suits the amount of clothes you have. The large YKK zipper allows for smooth opening and closing. It combines functionality and design with features like a zipper with a gradient color that has an ocean motif and a convenient hanging string for drying.

Point 4: Items that contribute to environmental conservation

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this laundry net will be donated to marine environmental protection organizations. Your everyday laundry will be an action to protect the future of the ocean. This is the perfect item for those who want to start living a sustainable life through fashion.

[Size guide]

S size: 1-2 shirts, 3-4 underwear

M size: 3-4 shirts, 5-6 underwear

Large size: 5-6 shirts, 7-8 underwear

*Storage capacity varies depending on the thickness and material of the clothing.

[Suitable fibers for use]

It is particularly effective on synthetic fibers such as polyester, polyurethane, nylon, acrylic, and rayon. We recommend using it whenever washing these materials to prevent the release of microplastics.

[How to use]

  1. Fill the laundry net about two-thirds full with laundry and close the zipper securely. For added security, store the zipper tab inside the cover.
  2. Wash at a temperature below 40°C.
  3. After washing, remove the clothes from the net and remove any lint that has accumulated in the corners of the net. Please separate and dispose of the lint according to local government regulations.
  4. Drain the water from the laundry net itself, dry it in the shade and make sure it is completely dry before storing it.

[Precautions for use]

  • Do not use a dryer as high temperatures may cause the net to deteriorate or become distorted.
  • Overloading the laundry may damage the net or reduce the washing effect. Always adhere to the recommended capacity.

Why is this product sustainable?

mana.'s products are produced and sold based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): "12. Responsible Consumption and Production," "14. Protecting the Life Below Water," and "15. Protecting the Life on Land." We encourage alternatives to plastic and disposable products, and all packaging and shipping uses biodegradable materials. Furthermore, by adopting forest certification labels that meet global standards, we are able to deliver products that consumers can trust and feel safe.

How long will it last?

It will vary depending on the number of times you use it and the volume of laundry, but you can use it for approximately 1 to 2 years.

The netting becomes part of the clothing and is subject to damage, so the time to replace it is when the netting tears or the zipper breaks.

Doesn't the net itself generate microplastics?

Our "Ocean Protection Laundry Net" uses nylon monofilament fibers and is designed to be less likely to produce microfibers.

Monofilament is a thread made from a single fiber, and is stronger, harder, and less likely to break than regular fibers.

It says that it cannot be used in a dryer, but can it be used in a drum-type washing machine?

Our laundry nets can be used in drum-type washing machines.

However, please be careful not to tumble dry it.

There is no dirt in the laundry net after washing. Is this possible?

The amount of fibers (microplastics) released varies depending on the clothes you wash.

Some clothing, especially those made of smooth nylon fabric, may have visible fibers that are difficult to remove.

If dirt does accumulate, it tends to accumulate at the edges, especially above the zipper.

Before and After

The unknown environmental problems caused by laundry

We do our laundry every day, without even thinking about it. Every time we do it, tiny fiber debris is generated from the synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon, acrylic, etc.) used in clothes and towels. These fibers, called "microplastic fibers," are released into the sewer system along with the wastewater from the washing machine, and eventually end up in the natural environment, such as the ocean and rivers.

Once microplastics are released into the environment, they remain for a long time without being naturally decomposed, which may have a negative impact on marine life and water quality.Furthermore, it has been pointed out that they may also accumulate in our bodies through the marine food chain.

In particular, synthetic fiber products such as fleece, sportswear, and quick-drying innerwear are known to shed large amounts of fibers when washed, and the current situation is that a large amount of microplastics is released on a daily basis.

Against this backdrop, the use of laundry nets and filters to prevent microplastics from escaping is now attracting attention. This is a small but significant action that not only protects the lifespan of clothing, but also helps protect the ocean.
